I don't have to be perfect

talking to myself

I keep telling my head, stop playing games with me

I know I work, I know how hard I do

Quit telling me I’ll never be good enough

That all my efforts are in vain

I won’t remain where I am

Stop trying to drive me insane

I’m tired of fighting you and losing

I don’t want to be a big star or even famous

I just want to do what I love and be happy

I don’t have to be the best,

If I can wake up each day with a smile on my face

I don’t have to be perfect.

OMG if this is not the truth. So many times my worst enemy is my own darn mind. This peom is so truthful it almost brings tears knowing I am not alone in this battle.
Its sobering to think that the greatest nemsis of our life will the one looking at us in the mirror.

That is the one thing in life we should all do, wake up with a smile on our face and embrace life. None of us are perfect, will ever be, but to be loved by our nearest and dearest as is makes for happy living.
