Where does it come from?

Where does it come from?

A Poem by Avia
"

Just letting It flow

"
Where does the anger come from?
When I wake up early in the morning.
Upset at the smallest of things.
Outraged by the tiniest mistake.

Where does the pain come from?
Those sharp poisoned thoughts that fill my head
The feelings that sink me into deep darkness
That make my heart feel like it'll explode.

Where does the sadness come from?
The dark cloud that eclipses every source of light
The shadow that walks before me and leads me to the edge
The swift breeze that sweeps over my heart and captures my joy.

Where does the fear come from?
Like a virus that cripples me in the face of my challenges.
The jailer that locks my courage away in an impenetrable tower.
Screaming thoughts that make me feel hopeless and worthless and useless.

It asks a realy good question. Sometimes you think you have a handle of this world, on yourself , but then out of nowhere your mind races with doubt fear sadness. You cannot control these feelings and you ask yourself am I not in control? It makes you feel weak then defeated. I get this, it is a battle many of us face everyday, but a battle we can win.

Just today I was asking myself why, and here you put into words "where". This poem asks all the right questions , it made me look into myself and seriously wonder about it whilst being so fragrant yet easy to read. I hope you enter this into a competition.

You've painted a very profound picture of each emotion/mood. It's very powerful and moving. It could use a bit of a musicality tweak in certain places, but my main comment is that the last stanza doesn't seem to bear the same emotional weight as the others given that it refers to "fear" subjectively by the constant use and reference of "it", whereas the previous stanzas employ beautifully weaved metaphors about "anger" "sadness" and "pain". Something to think about with that factor. But otherwise we'll done!

I would try and tweak the last stanza so it comes out better. Thank you very much.

Always a pleasure.
Almost like walking down a staircase. Anger always comes first, until you are left with nothing, but fear. Truly beautiful!

Anger, sadness, pain and fear are related with each other. Every emotion is a consequence of an emotion or an origin, they crop up and compel us to write about it to feel better.
Don't feel worthless, you are worthy of something and that is why you are born, it will take time to seek yourself.
