Inhabit

Inhabit

A Poem by Avery

I want to tattoo your name on both my wrists

so that if I ever end my life,

I will take you with me.

I want to bottle your tears

so that I have a constant reminder

that there is more than this numbness.

I want to sear the taste of you into my mouth

so that I just have to lick my lips to taste you.

Put your hands on my hips

and remind me why I've stuck around for so long.

Put your tongue in my mouth

and remind me why it is you that I want.

Don't assume that I love you

because I write you poems.

Know that I do because

I never write them about anyone else.

I am not the girl you once knew,

and I can guarantee you,

that this new girl won't stop

until she inhabits you.

I have read myriad love poems, your one I like tne best as I see honesty and madness in your love. Too be honest such kind of love is vanishing from our world. Your work deserve to be in my favorites...will be back to read more
