I Have Another Rose, And This One's For You

I Have Another Rose, And This One's For You

A Poem by Avery James

Forever ashamed

Most afraid to express

The curiosity her body held for his

not relations, quite sexual

But not devoid of affection.

Forever concerned with

Fucked up desires

and the imaginary empires

he always spoke of

A world where fantasy is

More than this messed up

twisted candycane society.

What's so wrong with wanting

pleading leading    needing

like a klepto she stole him

in her mind at least

a feast for her eyes

and converses of the tongue.

A mouth she'd followed through

the soft spots of-

A place she won't let her mind go.

nevermind and scratch on that

The truth hurts, my friend.

gritty and honest, raw emotion, intently devised with creative wording that create sincerity, nice job.

I like this and the flow of it sounds like thoughts directly from the mind, not taking time to worry of errors or choice of words (not to say that there are errors or poor choice of words - just the opposite). It came out quite smoothly.
