I'm Stuck

I'm Stuck

A Poem by Avery James
"

I wrote this at 4 this morning in the dark on a piece of a paper towel with a pen that was out of ink. It's nothing great but I like the premise of it.

"

I'm stuck in a world

where my eyes are always open

No one ever knows

and doors are forever closed.

Where white meets black.

Where friends are the whispers at your back.

this is so deep & powerful. in so few words, you've said so much. I especially love the last line. it is so true. darkly beautiful work.

I love this poem until the last stanza. The last two lines change the mood of the poem, but the first tow stanzas are amazing. They make a poem by themselves. Good write.
