Do You See That Girl?

Do You See That Girl?

A Poem by Silly_Clumsy_Amber
"

The girl that tries to stay out of the spot light, sometimes is the same one that has an inner fight.

"
Do you see that girl's face
Over in the distance, with a fake smile in place?
She watches her back always in fear
Because if she didn't, she feels her life will be erased
Her smile is just a type of a mask
That is there to protect herself from others tasks.
She slowly walks each corner of her life
Cautious to not to shatter like pieces of glass.
Her heart is one that inside is breaking
Slowly and always aching
Making each day in her life
One that has colors fading.

Do you see that girl with her hair as a mess
Walking on with her day only wishing to get back to her best?
This girl is aware of the people who talk behind her back
And each phrase of these sounds like death requests.
She keeps her mouth closed in silence
Her emotions inside running wild unbalanced
While this girl walks down the public halls
Praying one day she'll find a star for guidance.
Her ears are alert and her eyes are set in front
Not wanting to feel anymore pain from the hunt.
She's broken and pushed down from words behind her face
Feeling like she's treated the same as a piece of junk.

Do you see that girl with her head down low
Walking in motion that is fast and not slow?
She's trying escape the pressure building inside
So her emotions don't fall out with a flow.
She's been told people talk about her behind her back
And hearing those words is making her world go black.
She acts like the phrases don't mean a thing to her
But deep down, they sting giving this girl a vicious attack.
The walls around her by day are starting to show the truth
So she continues building to escape her youth.
She knows nothing well could happen in public if she cries
And for now will hide it by acting like a happy goof.

Do you see that girl when she's alone at night
Struggling to keep up with this daily fight?
Her life before you is diminishing with ease
While her sobs can only be heard during the night.
It's the same girl with a clear smile on her face
Who walks down the halls at a slow pace
Noticing the looks of her fellow peers
Knowing they are unaware of her emotional state.
Into the darkness, the girl forms into one needing an answer
On why this happens and why she is treated like the monster.
She doesn't understand what she has done wrong
And during the night she can no longer fight off their thunder.

Do you see that girl?

Truly attentive, well written. Noticing what often goes unnoticed, ignorance towards a common victim. It is very well shaped. You have clearly expressed that the girl is going through a lot of pain and she is seeking help but has no one that she can turn to. How she very well hides what she is feeling, puts up a defensive outlook, but is always crumbling from inside..
Good work.
