The Train to the FactoryA Poem by Double TInspired from the Oscar winning film Schindelers List, directed by Steven SpielbergA Black Train Straight from nowhere In the age when Europe was in a torn state When Germany fell from grace When racists and hate groups spread through the country like a plague Jews were the number one target of the hit-list Some of them were taken to steel camps never to be heard from the families Some of them met their fate by the edge of the gun While most Jews hid from the terror happening to their country The Nazis ruled most of Germany Killing everyone that stood in their way Wiping out any signs of resistance like a vacuum cleaner Both women and children Without fear, conscience, weakness, remorse, or mercy They couldn't be reasoned with or bargained with They would stop at nothing to make Germany in their image It was the Age of Darkness But there was hope And hope came on the railroad A miracle was at the sound of a whistle The Black Train from nowhere Going to one work-camp to wind up as many Jews as it can To take them to the factory Not just to work, but to be safe Safe from tyranny of the racists Before there was the V-day Before there was Iwa-Jima There was the Train The Black Train from nowhere © 2015 Double TAuthor's Note
