FDNY Brotherhood

This is dedicated to all of the firefighters who sacrificed everything to save lives on that day.

There is a brotherhood

Made up of firefighters 

Living in New York City

Risking their lives to save others

 

But on September 11, 2001 was a day unlike any other

The day when the Two Towers were hit

Heroism was displayed like never before

This wasn’t about putting out fires in a building

This was about saving lives before something worse could happen

 

But the worse already came

The Towers fell by the heat of the plane hits

People in top towers were intensely killed

The others in the button were trapped

Smoke filled the area of New York City

Then as the smoke cleared, Ground Zero had displayed itself

All of the remains of the Two Towers were gone

 

But the mission was not over yet

The brotherhood had a new objective: go to the aftermath and look for survivors

The effort to search for life was unlimited

Firefighters, policemen, EMS workers, and civilian volunteers were digging

Looking for any signs of life

Survivors were found inside the rubble

Corpses were dug up

People assumed the worst for many others

But the flag still stands

 

Now that is true heroism
