A over

A over

A Poem by Avelina

The most recent memory that comes to her mind is the fight she had with her mother  and no chance to say goodbye.

It has all been said and now the damage has been done.

A wipe of a tear/
from a once scorned dry eye.

The pain has begun/
her mind melted the lie.

The heartache has begun.

From birth/
from the breast.

To warm hearth and regress.  It has all been said.

The bond feels broken.   Sweet lies cannot cover the facade with the wipe of a tear/
from a once scorned dry eye.

Not knowing how to move on is the hardest part when the core and being has been torn apart.

When words are that of shard glass, maybe it is just time that allows healing to pass.
