A welcomed breakA Poem by Avelina
With closed eyes, I am fixated,
thoughts that surrender me. Much like a newborn finds comfort on their mothers’ breast. Away from the dredge, the noise, the chatter/ The only beat is the heart that fuels this body. Down to the core, alone with the soul, to make sense of all that matters… to me. I often envision solace and what it means to be alone, something about noise unearths my being. Try as I might to forget, I cannot. I have to remember because reality always finds a way to include me. The preludes sound sweet. What will and has become of it all… how I perceive what actually is. But right now I am okay, I am bathed in the sun of a quiet day. My soul needed this stay, a welcomed break. © 2015 Avelina |
