he was shot at by cannons

some have greatness thrust upon them

some are just ungrateful.

Bravo! I like the way you used a bit of history to tell of his fame and woes.......well done! The story of Blondel could well be legend, but there is perhaps enough information to put some truth to his searching for the king and finding him by recognizing the king's voice when he sang back to him.
