about the starsA Poem by AvalonJunejust a fanciful sketch about the starsLast night after the moon blushed I glimpsed a cracked and wrinkled star. It was ancient and fading. I watched it spew lightning And glitter as it fell. A piece of the colossal crystal mosaic was now gone. Twisted glass and molten silver crumpled on the earth. I saw the star fall and ran to it. The moon lit my path with her blush. I burned my fingers. © 2012 AvalonJune |
