Atheos

Atheos

A Poem by Avale
"

My second sonnet. This one is in iambic tetrameter and has a name from Ancient Greek. :)

"
A fate predetermined for you
An ethereal stranglehold
Don't think that life is yours to choose
Don't speak, don't breathe, don't be so bold
Stay silent, complicate, and meak
Sickeningly soured ethos
Bound to the god that keeps you weak
A profoundly indulged pathos
Archaic ideology
Aimed at keeping you on your knees
Obsolete mythology
Head bowed, eyes closed, don't try to see
A shield, a crutch for the weak mind
Curtain conceals the man behind
