A WomanA Poem by Ava MorganThis is a poem that I wrote for a dissertation that I am writing for a school assignment about how women perceive the way they are intended to be or be seen in the world of construction under a man.A Woman I am a woman Tranquil and
sensitive as you say I cook and
clean as you portray I am a woman Sweet and obedient
as you want I seek no
demand, I seek no escapade I am a woman I bare a
child, I am not audacious and wild I cuss not,
I speak a tongue of politeness I am a woman
My vessel is
a shell, fragile yet hard I fall, and
I crack, yet I hatch I am a woman I evolve, I develop
wings I learn to
fly but glide one with the wind I am a woman
I hunt yet I
eat last, I forage for my young I strive for
a beak of power but so humble in the sky I am a woman
I dare not
sit in a nest, for that is what you intend of me I build a
nest for that is what I intend to be I am a woman
