Betrayal

Deep within my soul lies a dread.
Dying, dying I am slowly dead.
I'm awake but oh so numb.
And the realization has yet to come.
How did this happen, where do I go.
Who are these people I supposedly know?
they can't be family, they can't be friends.
I'm hoping this confusion eventually ends.
My family would love, my friends would care.
And in return my love I'd share.
However I'm alone, it's only me.
For their true colors are all I see.
