As my love slowly burns

A love only lasts so long.. When it is gone it's gone

Through the summer, Through the spring.

My hearts still burns,like a fiery ring.
 

It scorches every thought of you.

at last a love that burns so true.
 

My love is burning like the sun.

Everday I bless fate for what was done.
 

I was born to love someone, and honestly I do.

But regardless of my answer I need one from you.
 

I can't live this way, always one step behind.

Following your trail of what you left for me to find.
 

On to this I say,That love is still with me to this day.

Whether you loved me or not, your no longer my only
thought.
 

In fact your neither my second nor my third.

Now thoughts of you just seem absurd.
 

I have found someone to love, and he loves me just the same.

A whirlwind of emotions that no one can tame.
 

When I think of him, I look forward to tomorrow.

Where as thoughts of you only ever brought me sorrow.
 

I hope you got what I was trying to say.

My love for you has softly burned away.

This is really good. I think you could use a little "tightening" of the phrases, some have words that I think interrupt the flow. But it is great righting, and you make us feel your triumph over someone who wasn't worthy of you. Keep writing, no matter what! I'm looking forward to reading more from you.
