Untilted Youth

Untilted Youth

A Poem by Nikole
"

Its a poem from my point of view, missing my youth as it passes me by.

"
When did our time go,
It seems to have faded.
We age and we grow.
Memories gray shaded.

Time passes by,
Leaves nothing there.
We were so shy,
Hide and stare.

Kids in the day,
Playing a game.
We all want to stay,
But cant, what a shame.

It passes fast,
Leaving us silent,
Its all in the past…
Time can be so violent.

Memories fade,
Things slip away,
Cloaked by a shade,
Wishing they’d stay.

‘Grow up’ They say,
But is that what we want?
I wish my youth would stay,
Time keeps up its taunt.

Very well written and very clever. We can never really grow up can we? There's a kid inside every single one of us. And I think people try to hide it. But why would anyone want to hide that?
