Lover's Veiw

Lover's Veiw

A Poem by Nikole
"

This one is about a woman who dreams of her beloved husband who leaves for war. When he returns he finds she is sick and dying, wishing he never left as he watchs her last moments.

"
The moons swift silent song,
Drifts through the night.
All nocturnal life hums along,
All with delight.

The moons bright shine,
She’s full with joy,
Its just so divine,
As we sit and enjoy.

Together we sit,
My hand is yours,
To perfect do they fit.
With you my heart soars.

This is only a dream,
That I know is true,
Night is our theme,
Simply me and you.

I’ve been gone to long,
I left you all alone,
Maybe I was wrong…
I should have known!

I’m so sorry my dear
I left for the war,
You tired to adhere...
We're not together anymore.

I lost my heart and soul,
A woman so fine.
It left a huge hole..
Finally I resign.

I watch your still sleep,
You never do wake,
Soon, your soul did ‘he’ reap.
I made a mistake….
