Coming Home

Coming Home

A Poem by Autumm
"

If you read it, you defiantly understand it..

"
I looked around with a smile upon my face
today was the day
I am heading back to my roots
back to my home
back to where it all began
Days like this
it was a beautiful
the sun rise has never made me feel this alive
in just a few hours I will be greeted home by the two people who love me the most
along with my furry four-legged friend
papa is probably pacing around excitedly
only making grandma even  more nervous
grandma is probably doing the house work, still thinking her house looks like a mess
I know they have anticipated this day for awhile now
Polly is probably still asleep on my favorite old hod-die she took over before I left
I can't help but to smile
because in a few hours I will be heading home
where I belong
don't get me wrong cali is beautiful
but Utica is where I belong
with my family around me
my true friends close
as I head towards the air port I know this one way flight will feel like the longest
as I called grandma to speak to her one last time before I get on the plane
I can hear Polly excitedly howling at papa
even she knows I'm coming home
This is it, here I go this flight will take forever
but I know at the gate in which I land
I am only a little bit away from greeting them at the doors
papa is counting down the time
he is probably getting ready now
so here we go
only a few hours until I am at home
