Lullabye

Lullabye

A Poem by Authoress
"

It's time to sleep.

"
Bulky sweaters, holding mittens,
Winter weather, naps like kittens
Reach out onto pillowcases
Bleed your heart into your paces

And I'll write to you to

Close your eyes
And go to your happy place
No need for goodbyes
They stain tears with faces
So if you promise not to cry
I'll sing to you this lullabye.

Desperate times don't want their equal
Not all good can vanquish evil
Slip through fingers, dive through cracks
Love the ones you did way back

And I'll write to you, to

Close your eyes
And go to your happy place
No need for goodbyes
They stain tears with faces
So if you promise not to cry
I'll sing to you this lullabye.

i agree exactly with stephen...

this piece is melancholy---i have had goodbyes that were forced because of situations...very bittersweet as is the feel of this poem.

~~Stunning Lullaby~~

I enjoyed reading your work. You write so short, simple, clear and just so beautifully expressed all the things through your sexy muses... beautiful. Well written!
