Milestones
By Nate Spears Like Miles Stones I proceed to walk With unheard tones Deaf to my surroundings I fear I'll never go home I travel with the latest issues Strapped to my back Heavy as burdens Stones compress to my feet Traveling to the battle grounds That devastates me Passionately searching for a mountain To overcome Milestones don’t become milestones Until they’ve been pushed you far and beyond Then there forever gone But we must proceed To walk on I walk miles away from the crowd Away from all the distraction To a destination far away Form total disaster Dictatorship or Masters Someone has to rule the flock Rules will be enforced Becoming a mile of rocks Being tossed to the lower class of choice Under my feet rests the top The skin on my flesh has become tough Another obstacle has been overcome Today we have reached another Milestone. © 2013 AuthorNateSpearsAuthor's Note
