I'll Be Dammed
By Nate Spears My birth arrived from a place where the sun didn't always shine Neighbors borrowed everything From Kool-Aid to Good Times Dirt trail tales and sand lot fields, Sores filled my legs from playing out here Diamonds in the rough, times were tough If you didn't play right They whipped your butt But, Under the hood lies a motor That's furious when crunk; hit the gas and excel Use it to drive to the top Elevate with purpose, achieving is certain I'll be dammed if I let the hood Be my disconnect button. © 2012 AuthorNateSpearsAuthor's Note
