I'll be waiting in my heart

I'll be waiting in my heart

A Poem by Jordan Smith

I'll be waiting
in my heart
for the day
you fall into my life

I'll be waiting
in my heart
for the butterflies
to flutter from inside

I'll be waiting
in my heart
for your smile
to light up my life

I'll be waiting
in my heart
for the first time
we embrace

I'll be waiting
in my heart
for our first fight,
then our first "i'm sorry"

I'll be waiting
in my heart
for our first kiss
to come on our wedding day

I'll be waiting
in my heart,
you may not
know it just yet.

I'll be here
waiting in my heart
for the day you say
you love me.

This one has absorbed much love and became a lovable poem!
Human heart is my myth actually...and I felt great reading it..
Few stanzas are containing more emotionalism than it seems including 5th and 7th....
Thanks so much for sharing this love filled write! :)

I think 'charming' best describes this poem. The emotion rings true and heartfelt. Very nice.

I think this poem charms the reader of their feet. There is a humility that comes out of love. This poem is all about that. Those who wait usually end with with great things.
