My Forever

My Forever

A Poem by Jordan Smith

My Forever I met
on a cold winter's night

My Forever I met
in a festive forest

My Forever I met
under the night sky

Under the winds of chance,
Under the waves of love

My Forever I met by fate
at the wrong time,
but at the right time

My Forever I met
forever ago & I'm just
now saying Hi.

Hmmm....that's bit blue to feel...but I enjoyed... :)

Few lines are penned heartedly here I feel... that 5th stanza is so correct! The right time is when that forever comes in our life....this novice loved reading it and so no critiques I could decide.....be happy foreva!

Thanks for sharing sir :)

I think this poem exemplifies the often futile search for the perfect mate. In my experience, (thrice married) we stumble about, hoping to find the "right one", but end up with one that we hope will do. Perhaps "forever mate" isn't doesn't mean what I think? Anyway, this poem sets my mind a'thinking.

I really liked the final stanza. If we are truly interested in that special person in our lives. We will learn something new about them all the time. Thanks for sharing your work here!

Thank you Amanda! I'm glad you enjoyed it. That's one of my favorite stanzas I have ever written
Whimsical and - in a strange way, wise; knowing how-when.. then, time turning 'pon time! Just long enough to beckon readers.. ending with a contented smile!

It's all about the timing. :)
"Hi" is a great place to begin.
This is pretty cool in that it could be interpreted as romantic or a finding of one's own self. Anyway, nice poem.
