Filler Food

Food, it is

the filler to

a soul.

A soul that

is no longer

together.

It weeps for

admiration and

yearns for love.

Food is the thing

that fills it whole

and gives it what

it needs, unlike

an abandoned sould

who's lost forever.

[Beautiful Intentions]

Food... Wonderful food.:) For me, as someone who loves to cook/bake, it is the preparation, the time spent creating edible art that fills pieces of my soul, that brings about a sense of peace and internal order. Then the pleasure of that first bite, the rolling of eyes, the contented moan, when it seems as if every nerve ending within ones body twirls with joy. Food is so therapeutic... Especially food served with love. Nothing quite like that apple pie your grandmother makes just for you, something so exceedingly special whisked about the ingredients in which only you can taste. Yes... You are completely right, Jordan.:) Food can so be a filler.

A necessity in life and yet it may fill the body but what of the soul...I guess it becomes a comfort for a soul that doesn't seem whole...or feel whole...whatever whole is...bottom line feed the soul not the body perhaps :)
