Love is only a dream

Love is only a dream

A Poem by Jordan Smith
"

This is the moment when your life isn't going your way and love just seems to be almost non-existent.

"
Love, something you feel
or is it?
Is it reality or
is it a dream?
Only love prevails for a select few,
while the rest of us can only hope.
A single feeling
can give you false hope,
make you dream
a dream that doesn't come true.
Reality sets in,
and you realize that
Love is only just a dream.

Yes, I think we can all relate to this at one time or another. I do believe love is real, it is just hard to see it in others at times which makes us feel sad and alone, at least for me lol You did a great job showing your feelings though!

Good Job

Love is only just a dream....its true but in my opinion we love our parents siblings friends and many other near and dear ones and also in return we get that much love and affection from them...so i think Love can be reality also....still you are a very good writer and i like your all writings...

This poem really makes you question what love is. The false pretenses about love are rarely written about to beautifully, so rhetorically.
I also love the lack of punctuation, intentional or not, it adds to the dream like state of the deception of love.
Fab!

Georgie.

Love is so complicated. I like the question this poem poses, what really is love?

Love is only a dream...........a dream which gives false hope......But isn't false hope also a hope which tells us, "even if the reality is ugly and dangerous...have faith, have courage...because anything can change, so try once more".....just my thoughts..........A nice write up!

I really like the essence of this piece. It is like a dream with a harsh ending. I like the wording and the phasing is excellent.

I can totally relate to this poem. My heart has had one too many heartbreaks... But I am so grateful for all of those broken souls that broke my heart more... because they created a road and lead me home to a boy that loves me. Everything will turn out okay, I know this because me and my boy have been together for a month and a half now. And we fall in love with each other more every day. You will find a girl that would give her life up and to you... maybe not today... but someday. And you won't even remember that your heart ever was broken. Trust me :) - Kenzie

Awww. It's real. Believe me. You just have to go through some questioning processes such as this to find that one true love and it will hit you like a ton of bricks. You will do anything for that person. Be patient, she will find you.
