The HorizonA Poem by Jordan Smith
Driving along the coast,
you see nothing but water and the Horizon Birds flying, people walking with no pre-destination in mind, walking along the Horizon It's noon and the heat is intense You fan yourself even though you're not a fan going along the Horizon Your Halfway there the anticipation building Imagining the Horizon You can't wait to get there Your mind starts to race Your Heart starts to pound Excited for the Horizon The sun starts to set Darkness soon takes over the night sky The dissapearing Horizon You get tired Your eyes start getting heavy and soon you fall asleep Dreaming of the Horizon You finally get there Happiness consumes you But you notice something The closer and closer you got the farther and farther away the Horizon became. Your journey hasn't ended, but in fact your journey has only just begun The journey to the end of The Horizon
