Confusion

Confusion

A Poem by Jordan Smith

Controlled by mixed emotions
Only to realize that you're not sure what you really want
Neglecting is your Brain
Feeling is your Heart
Unfortunately, you can't figure out which is right
Saddened by this, you
Isolate yourself
Only to realize your mistake of
Neglecting with your heart and feeling with your brain

You have confusion figured out. You give us a gem, identifiable with everyone who has ever had mixed emotions. The exposition is poignant and context are brief but poignant. Favorite line"Saddened by this, you isolate yourself..." keep it up.

The only thing that can help in between confusion of heart and brain is to get skilled at the usage of these....but that also costs penalty of betrayal and success to define who's right at which time...brain or heart!
Twax amazing read!☺

I love the last line and how it brought in the other lines in the poem. I think often people are unsure of what they want and when they make the decision it is too late.

The heart supplies the brain with oxygen and a rhythm...what does the brain do, wander off...we are all confused thats why I flip a coin. nice poem Jordan

We really cannot stand the bickering of our heart and mind.

I think you should change "your" to "you're" in the line "Only to realize that your not sure what you really want"

Keep it up!

You summed up perfectly how confusion is internal conflict.

I like the yoda-esque nature of the feelings. Makes it unique and memorable. I really liked this.
