A Star's Perspective

A Star's Perspective

A Poem by Austin_Tyler
"

4:00 AM, my little brother woke up from night mare asking ,me to pray with him. I couldn't fall back asleep so this is it.

"
The moon sits by my right,
As the sun peels away the last bit of light.
The dark side of him lurks about now,
I wonder what he sees the world as below.
The man with the black hat and red coat.
Why is here out here, so alone?
And what could be so special about all those rocks and that large stone?
The blades are brown,
the trees are bare.
Even from way up here,
I can tell its cold down there.
Before complete darkness,
the sun paints the sky with a purple light.
This man should hurry home before it gets to late,
for people normally take their walks in the mornings.
Perhaps he's had a bad day.
Why else take a walk at dusk?
Hopefully not being lead astray.
How far had he come,
just to be so far away?
It seems he knows where he's going.
Surely he's been here before.
But it all stays the same,
what could he find this time?
Perhaps only something missing,
that isnt there anymore.
This man can't feel alone,
if he would just look up here,
maybe I could tell him.
That whatever existed before,
but no longer in the flesh;
not on earth anymore;
lives up here with me.
Where time ticks backwards,
and dreams never die;
but live in eternity, forever afterwards.
If I could just let him know,
to smile instead of the other,
to live and let die, the sorrow.
We see you down there, man.
The one with no name.
Can you see us up here?
Only one day they'll know....
