What Could've Been

What Could've Been

A Poem by Austin_Meehan

What Could’ve Been

I wanted to be a star sailor.

I had dreams of riding comets,

exploring strange blue planets,

and watching diamonds rain.

But now the sky is gray.

The shower tastes like salt

and I’m watching what I could have been

spiral down the drain.

Wonderful Piece. This is very nicely and subtly put thought into a well designed write. Loved the way it flowed in

I like the contrast between the two stanzas. I guess I am a bit of a star sailor myself. Not many clear nights now where I live and pollution is taking its toll. Nice work.
