Her Journey

A story of my friend, Hikari. (Hikari98 on writer's cafe)

I know I'm probably the only one who worries for her.
Maybe that's due to the fact she doesn't trust many people.
She's been hurt in ways one can only imagine.
Physically, emotionally, and more.

Every day, she cries after failing to keep the pain in.
I continue to worry as I see the effects of what she has been doing.
Skipping meals isn't worth the toll on health.

I've seen the way she hurts inside,
I've seen how she struggles to stay awake in the day, crying herself to sleep at night.

She feels completely alone in a crowded room.
Afraid to let anyone in.
Those she cared for had hurt her,
Making her never believe in happiness again.
