     E y e s   g a z e   u p o n   t h e   p r i v a t e   l e t t e r i n g .   
     S t u d e n t s   k e e p   b e i n g   s t u d e n t s ,   
     S e p a r a t e ,   i n   a   d i f f e r e n t   w o r l d .   
     T h e   n o t e   r e c e i v e r   t r y ' s   t o   r e j o i n ,

     O n l y   t h e   t e a c h e r s   v o i c e ,
     F a d i n g   i n t o   t h e   c o r n e r s ,
     L i k e   d i m m i n g   l i g h t s .   
     D i s s i p a t i n g   l i k e   a   s m a l l   w a v e ,   
     A s   t h e   b r i d g e   c r u m b l e s .

     T h e   b e l l   r i n g s ,   
     A n d   t h e   w a l l   c o l l a p s e s ,
     E v e r y b o d y   r u s h e s   t o   t h e   d o o r s
     A n d   t h e   s t u d e n t ,
     T h e   n o t e   r e c e i v e r ,   
     S h e   i s   n o   l o n g e r   a l o n e .
