A very interesting point of view and very nice imagery, especially lines "You were the grave digger // dug up the grave // that I fell in." Very nice. I have a similar poem to this: Hero's Legacy. It's nice to know that we can have people there for us in our hours of need. It's nice to be reassured that there is still decent human beings out there. Throughout a numerous amount of my life, I didn't have a person really. I'm not complaining, just to share... it's nice having someone in our hours of need. I found Christ is there for me in every hour of need. "When my love for man grows weak, when for stronger faith I seek, Hill of Calvary, do I go, weeping and praying there alone." These are words to one of my favorite songs.
Anyways, enough of ranting in a review, it's very good poem mechanically. You've came quite a ways from when you first started on this site and it definitively does show. Just remember to always keep a clear head and never build up the gull to say one writer is better than another writer, for we as writers just write. That's the simple command. There is no room to be better when everything we write has the potential to be so much more. Thanks for your daily living as it gives me encouragement. 9.6/10.
Everyone has that one pal, dont they? This is a fitting write for the one who, no matter what, is always there for you, day or night, rain or shine. I try to be that person, and sometimes its hard, but in the end....we only have ourselves and our friends to make it through the good times and the bad.
Your friend is lucky to have you, and you are lucky to have him.
