Wasteland Home

A Poem by Hippy

Ima be my own man

walk this wasteland

with an empty hand

I won't walk your way

Ima make my own

to a throne of broken bones

I'll forge my path

bending iron by hand

no one could stand in the way of a broken man

Push through fire

Swim through acid

Screw the cruise

I'll fight my way home

you all float by hand and hand

look with love

but lend no hand

so I sit in desert sand

forming glass to see

your all simple beast

so what is me

Nice poem. Powerful words and great images. Great reminder of not to let others control who you become/want to be…
