Scars to Learn

with things in life you are ment to learn from them or you repeat your same pains that cause you to repeat the same lesson. oh in its a sonnet

Your scars were caused by the strands of time now.
As you walk along this shallow river.
Only time can heal you but only how?
Looking to the past with eyes less bitter.

You could take these pains and learn a lesson.
And better yourself as a human being.
Your scars are to be remembered my son.
To learn from them and not keep you searching.

These answers you have already learned.
So do not look to your scars with regret.
Take them as lessons these scars you've earned
So my son don't look back and grow upset

For life has many lessons, some will burn
So move on my son there's more scars to learn

dam i thought it was a sonnet when i wrote it i guess i need to learn how to count syllables better
