Is this Love or Just Confusion

Is this Love or Just Confusion

A Poem by Hippy
"

This is a song im done with it but wanna change a few peices and add one more verse

"

Now I take my walk

Down to the beach

Singing sweet, sweet melodies

And the next baby

To walk by me

Gives me a holla

Making my insides scream

And I say

Baby, how’d you like

To go for a spin

Then we take our walk

Make some sweet love talk

And that’s when she caught me

Like a fish on a hook

Leaving me asking

Is this love Or just confusion

Is this love Will I ever find out

Is this love or just confusion

Baby don’t be messing me round

Now I been following you

Since you walked up to me

In the way you move

Really makes me groove

So don’t stop

You look so hot

Oh baby

You really make my heart sing

Just don’t be messing me round

Is this love or just confusion

Is this love or do you be misusing

Is this love or just confusion

Baby don’t be messing me round

Now baby I’m tired

Of you using me

Anyway you please

In I’m tired you abusing me

Beaten this heart around

Cus baby

This heart is born to sing

This heart is born to sing

This heart

Is born

To sing

So baby

Don’t be messing me round

I think I've read this before, but if not. I must saying it is good.

I cannot help but to think of the Whitesnake song when I come to the chorus. Obviously it would probably sound completely different, but reading it just makes me think of it.

I think if you change the chorus and the theme of the song, it will be great. This reminds me of the day I wrote this AWESOME riff and my dad came into my room and told me I must be in a really good mood. I asked "Why?". He said when im in a really good mood I play Black Sabbath. I told him i wasn't in that great of a mood. 2 hrs later i realized the AWESOME riff I wrote was indeed the riff to "Dirty Women." I think its a fine tribute. I love Hendrix, but this song is a little similar. Change the theme a little and it will be a real nice song.

have to agree with Narn on this one, it reads as a mash-up of Hendrix lyrics with Love and Confusion as the focus. Hope I'm wrong

Haven't you just taken Hendrix's Love and Confusion and added a few other words? I had to check to be sure but ... surely this is just his song mashed up a little? Sorry - walked away a few times without commenting but kept coming back kinda pissy about the whole deal. Jimi was a legend. Maybe you just forgot you heard it?

its kind of choppy to me, and i dont really see how it flows together, but i think music will help seeing that.

but good job.

Very Hendrix!!! I like the idea of adding one more verse in between the second and the third but other than that...it's great! I hope you post it with the music eventually. : )
