Ripping the Stitches

Ripping the Stitches

A Poem by Hippy
"

Story of getting ones heart broke

"

This once broken heart

Was all torn apart

Til the day she came back in my life

She stitched i6t together

Told me it would be forever

Then she told me she wanted more

She said she couldn’t do this

This long distance relationship anymore

that’s when she broke my heart

Tore it apart

Tearing the seams one by one

Leaving it on the floor

Where it will rot

Waiting for the next seamstress to come

Suture this broken heart

So she can hold it

And adore it forever more

I related to this poem so well babe.
This happened to me and I know exactly where you're coming from. It's like you read my mind and you were able to put it on words.
I really enjoyed reading it and it's always hard to have your heart broken, it's happened to me so many times, I've told you, great job love.

It's sad but direct. I love this line: "Waiting for the next seamstress to come." It's a great image to convey in this piece. It's fantastic, I like the ending sounding hopeful & not whiney.

This was a sad poem! She comes back put his heart back together then rip it back apart- I love how you left a little bit of light at the end of the tunnel_ great poem!
