The Day My Brother Learned To FlyA Poem by Hippyits about my brother but from my point of view with me in his shoes and how i see it happeningI got high as i could Ripping my ice Taking a hit Blazing it up Then snorted a line thick as my thumb
I was rolling hard Harder than ever before
When I set up my rope And took out my ladder
I stood there thinking At the end of my rope Of all the things I've thrown away All the people I've saddend All the ones I've hurt
A tear rolled down my cheek As my saddness thickend
I looked for a reason One to keep me here I saw nothing... This time...
So I kicked back As hard as I could And thats the day I learned to fly Out of this world And into the sky © 2010 HippyAuthor's Note
