Chapter 7: TruthA Chapter by RozeThe town was a harsh place to live in, but now it just got worse. How do we avoid the seemingly never-ending harshness of the world?Today is the day I say goodbye to the town for the first time and today is also the first time that I’m going to do something, that the world depended on. --Next Day: June 19th-- It was time, Kai’s wounds were healed, and we were prepared and… One thing was missing… my sister. We went to our usual route on the way to my house. Once we reached our house, I saw my sister, “Why didn’t you watch the television?” “You brought your friends with you! Quick, make yourselves at home. Anyways, Auron, that useless thing doesn’t give any more information.” She seemed calm, but inside I knew she was outraged. We talked for awhile about what was happening and what we did until, “!!!” A vision shot my head, “Intruder! Quick let’s go!” We grabbed some of my sister’s clothes in her cabinet, pulled her hand and rushed off. “What’re you doing?” She quarreled. Once we reached the designated place, I said, “Saving all of us.” I paused and thought, “I think.” “Do you know what is in that thing Auron?” Kai asked. “We won’t know till we try!” I pulled Lilianne’s hand and jumped in. “Ugh…” I opened my eyes, “Where are we?” I looked around, but everyone was still a sound asleep. So I stood up and looked up to see a magnificent view of pure grass plains, except for the tree that gave us shade. When I looked back, I was shocked; I saw what had seemed to be a young boy out of nowhere, “Ah… Now I can talk.” “Huh? What do you mean talk? Can’t humans always talk?” I questioned. “When we cross paths to your world, we are what you would call, ‘specters’ and are forbidden to talk.” The young man said, “The place you are in, you would call it the Spectral Realm.” “I don’t get it, first up, why did you lead us here? And second, why is it called the Spectral Realm? Lastly, why don’t I see any civilization?” “I lead you here because I thought you might be able to help us on the term you call Ragnarok. Secondly, it is not us who call this place Spectral Realm; you humans did because of our spectral like appearance in your world. If you’re going to ask how we are spotted, we are spotted by people like the person who you call Lilianne. Lastly, there is not much need for a lot of civilizations here, in here; everyone is content living together with one another.” “That’s hard to take in… Anyways, can we start having a move on when these guys awaken?” I suggested. “It is your wish.” “What is the difference of this world and our world?” “The difference is ability, pollution, industrialization and danger.” “Danger? You mean exposure to pollution levels?” “No, the things that lurk here are what you’d call myths, folktales or legends. The thing you call werewolves exist in here. There are sophisticated, educated ones that are able to live in the city and there are ones that are wild; they roam around and eventually reach a portal to your world.” We had a conversation on how the worlds differ till everyone woke up at the same time. They gazed into the magnificent view they had in front of them. We had to get a move on fast, so I introduced him to the ‘specter,’ Lorelei. I answered most questions and left some that I couldn’t answer to Lorelei. As we walked to the nearby town, I asked, “You asked something about The End of the World right?” “Yes. The Ragnarok causes both worlds to crash into each other, causing a massive explosion that none can survive.” “How can it be stopped?” “We get what could reverse the whole process, the R.A.G.N.A.R.O.K. System. (Replacement Action Gravity Nullify- Anti Ragnarok Operation Key.)We would need some parts lied beneath the ground of your world and get the parts and combine them with the parts of the Ragnarok in this world.” “Wait, then what was that meteor about?” Lilianne asked. “The meteor was the one that initially made a movement and caused those ‘unknown elements’ spread and create holes to our world.” “Then how about the effects of the ‘unknown elements’? Would that include sleeping problems?” “No, it only includes diseases and anything that cohorts with it.” “Then what did we get?” “Your bodies are different from other humans; you are people when touched by the ‘unknown element’ reveals your inner ability.” “Isn’t that way too Fantasy-like? Even though it might be true, but to us, this is just way beyond reality!” Lilianne complained. “Don’t worry; I’m sure we’ll get use to it some time.” Kai said. “Sis, you’re being awfully quiet, it’s not like you to be like that.” I asked. “Don’t worry about me; I’m just kind of in shock from what I’m hearing.” That day, I’m not sure how many hours or maybe even days had past since we were sleeping, but I’m sure that it was better to be here than back at the town. © 2010 RozeAuthor's Note
