Snow Snows

A rough Christmas poem that I typed on my iPod after a lovely mid-afternoon nap. It's from the perspective of a slightly intoxicated man who cannot believe he has to spend the holidays alone. Enjoy!

Snow snows
jingle bells jingle
it's Christmas time
so why am I still single?

Christmas spirit 
and holiday cheer
I've got both
...could you pass me a beer?

It's cold out there
and I'm all alone
no one to warm
no one to take home 

Love is important, this time of year
it brings people together
around the world
from far and from near

Reds are red
greens are green
now laugh all you want 
you'll get what I mean
next year when you're left alone
with no one to take home.

I need a drink.

I have to admit this was witty and funny-- I had to laugh with the first verse
