In The Quest For Beauty

So I wrote a blog about this, then I thought why not transform it into a poem? So here it is.

Beauty is not complicated.
It is neither a routine,
Nor is it hard to maintain.
Beauty isn't perfect skin
Or the constant feeling of being perfect.

Beauty is simplicity.
Beauty is serenity.
Beauty is nature.

When the first rays of sunlight kiss the earth awake,
When dew drops soak the dying leaves afresh,
When ripples spread across the water in tiny waves,
And when your soul explodes in bliss and madness,
That is beauty.

We seek beauty
In the most complicated places.
We try to achieve beauty
In the most complicated ways.
But all we actually need to do
Is just open our eyes
And take a good look around.

Even the simplest creation of mother nature
Is filled with wondrous beauty.
Even the most mundane things on earth
Is of it's own kind.
Maybe only then you will realise
The universe resonates beauty through your soul.
