ANCIENT CARETAKER

ANCIENT CARETAKER

A Poem by Mother Maggie

© 2014 Mother Maggie

Author's Note

Mother Maggie
In sibilant whispers she spoke
Her voice a thousand rustling leaves
Take care, oh Earth Daughter, take care

Take care of this ground
Your feet now rest
On that which is sacred

Take care of this ground
Each step you take
You walk upon our Mother

Take care of this ground
Grass, humus, stone, sand
This sacred skin of our Goddess

In sibilant whispers she speaks
Her voice a thousand rustling leaves
Take care, oh Earth Children, take care
Heed the caution of her words unspoken
