Endurance

Endurance

A Poem by Mother Maggie

Author's Note

Mother Maggie
Thru these miles we trod
Tho tremulous and doubtful at times…
My love endures
Trials irritations
Bring out the curmudgeon
All growls and rumbles
Like a cranky bear
Remember
love always in the heart
Deep and warm
There to shelter you
You are my joy
You are the earth on which my soul rests
The calm to my tempest
The tenderness within the raging fire
You are my love

Deep and stirring imagery here. Love is never in question, despite the trials and irritations... Well done!

I felt you on the prowl with this one. An animal that will use its endurance to overcome the many trials and tribulations that seems to accompany life's simple pleasures. Once again I enjoy your creative use of metaphors. Well done.

All growls and rumbles like a cranky bear, excellent line that helps tip the balance in the poem.

'Namaskar', that's a new word for me. Is it related to 'Namaste'?
