Sanctuary (Grace Lies Within)

Sanctuary (Grace Lies Within)

A Poem by Mother Maggie

Author's Note

Mother Maggie
The peace I have sought
in the mountains and the sea
I have found within

With the grace of a willow
bending in the breeze
or of the downbeat
of a butterfly’s wing
the flow of life
passes through.

Revel in the stillness
of a busy street
bask in the calm
of shrieking children
bickering spouses and roaring engines
find the secret of tranquility
perceive the dignity
in the chaos.

To do this, is to become
the peace and sanctuary
within the soul
and to achieve true grace
