Crimson Mother

Crimson Mother

A Poem by Mother Maggie

Author's Note

Mother Maggie
blood calls to blood
we baptize our mother
in the crimson flood

blood answers blood
we baptize our earthen mother
in our crimson flood

will dawn see
smoke and destruction
or will the mother’s heart prevail?

scarlet death’s head
in the eclipsing hour
reflects the land of the dead

drowning in the sanguin tide
the dove cries peace
mourning the morn

life ebbs-our leaders lied
Gaia, earthly mother
pressed in chains
of war the bride
