Author's Note

Mother Maggie
Quicksilver changelings—butterflies dancing
Twirling in forbidden fire
Queens ruling shadow realms
Goddesses sipping nectar
Casting aside molds that never fit
Rejecting the fold of proper propriety

We exist on the edge of the abyss
Where passion and pleasure
Rage like an inferno
Experiencing joy and ecstasy
Reveling in divine androgyny
In the embrace of the hermaphroditic god
Where gender lines no longer exist.

Sublime vision. The last verse gave me an image of the Buddha in Yab Yum mudra with his consort. The symbol of divine harmony into which dulistic conciousness is dissolved and becomes transcendent to the limitations of conceptual distinction.

Powerful stuff Maggie.
such vivid imagery you weave so well into a thing of beauty.
I can't say why but this was my favorite line, pretty much it spoke to me within I could feel that but i couldn't hear what was said. It leaves me feeling I am in some kind of awe of a being I don't understand but want to.
Beauty in words Maggie that is what this is.
Thank you very much.
