Ressurection

Ressurection

A Poem by Devashish Kumar

Extinguish my eyes; I can still
paint you on my subconscious
in all your delicate details.

Take away my sense of smell;
I will still be inebriate on
the fragrance of your smile.

Cut off my tongue; I can still
find a way to sing in the
glory of your eternal beauty.

Fill all paths to you with embers
and nails; still I will follow
you with a pilgrim’s devotion.

Stop my heart; these verses
infilled with a love profound can
still resurrect a withering soul.
