Spring of Love

Spring of Love

A Poem by Devashish Kumar

Spring wakes him up from a deep
slumber and with her loving touch,
magically heals his deep old scars.

A gentle soft breeze seeps through
ruffles of his lilting hair, tickles and
caresses insides of his heart and lungs

Thin strands of morning sunlight
invite his lips to a blossoming smile
and paint flowers in brilliant colours.

A carnival of titillating fragrance arrives
atop slow air and sets off an onrush
of warm and fuzzy feelings in his heart.

Fleets of birds bustle about in a myriad of
green hues and sing symphonies of love
in celebration of this young romance.

I really love this! There were so many feelings and emotions, and I've rarely said this to anyone, but your piece was perfect!
