DRAFT: TO MOMA Poem by AugustTo the most beautiful, brave and kind woman I know..
I realised that day
that you're one of the very few people who actually cares. Do you remember when I was seven, you took my hands in yours and said, "I will always be there for you". I do. I realised that day that your hug is warmer than any blanket, that your words are more comforting than the tea you make, that your smile is brighter than the brightest star. I realised that day, when I made you cry for the last time, that I hate it. I swore that I'd make you proud. I realised that day, that you, my mother, are the sole reason for my existence.. © 2023 August |
