A Year From ThenA Poem by Autumn InmanIt's in response to the lyrics "A Year From Now" by Across Five Aprils. It's about when everything did the opposite and went right. It's now a year from then. I thought we'd never make another memory. What happened? I still hold your hand like I'll never let it go, And wake in your arms every morning. I continue to show you a side I show nobody, and continue to shape your heart. We are still seeing what we can be, the story hasn't ended. Things are real you're still my priority, eventhough I'm your option. Everything I say is in sincerity, and I'm done walking. We've put our mistakes behind us, but remember what we've missed. All we have to offer eachother is love, the power behind the pen. With each kiss a new chapter to what has become us. Promises were just words til they were fulfilled. I've fulfilled every word I've spoken. With every step toward you my admiration grows. For now I know I made the right choice, laying my heart at your feet. Murdered once, but only you could bring it back. It's beating. With each beat I fall in deeper, I can't let you go. Remember when you said we'd never make another memory? What happened?
